Old-Fashioned Pone Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain medium cornmeal
    1/3 c. bacon drippings
    1 Tbsp. salt (may add more)
    enough water to mix by hand
Preparation
    Mix ingredients until moist.
    Add enough water to make a smooth mixture (but mixture needs to hold its shape).
    Form into pones.
    Grease iron skillet and heat.
    Place pones into hot skillet.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 until brown.
