Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. jam
    1 c. mayonnaise
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. hot water
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix jam, sugar and mayonnaise.
    Add soda, hot water, spices and flour.
    Bake in two 9-inch pans at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Cool; frost with caramel icing.
