Hot Chipped Beef Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 tsp. butter or margarine
    2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    2 (2 1/2 oz.) pkg. dried beef, minced
    1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
    1/4 c. milk
    4 tsp. minced onion
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
Preparation
    In skillet, saute pecans with butter over low gas flame until lightly browned; drain and set aside.
    Combine all remaining ingredients, mixing well.
    Spoon mixture into a buttered 1 1/2-quart baking dish; top with pecans.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 gas oven for 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
    Serve hot with assorted crackers, chips or breadsticks.
    Yield:
    about 4 cups.
