Oatmeal Carmelitas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2 c. quick oats
    1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. melted margarine or butter
    2 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 1/2 c. (1 jar) caramel ice cream topping
    2 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Blend together flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda and salt. Add enough margarine to hold mixture together. Press 1/2 of mixture into a greased 9 X 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans over first layer. Blend caramel with 2 Tbsp. flour and spoon over chips and nuts. Sprinkle the other 1/2 of crumb mixture on top. Bake 20 minutes or more. Cool completely or chill before cutting.
