Upside-Down Strawberry Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    9-inch baked pastry shell
    3 c. fresh strawberries
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 c. water
    red food coloring
    1 c. whipping cream
Preparation
    Beat egg whites with vinegar and salt to soft peaks. Gradually add the 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla, beating to stiff peaks.
    Spread on bottom and sides of baked pastry shell.
    Bake in 325\u00b0 oven for 12 minutes.
    Cool.
