Chocolate Praline Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1 1/2 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 c. margarine, melted
    1 (18.5 oz.) pkg. devil's food cake mix (without pudding)
    1 1/2 c. whipping cream
    3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients.
    Sprinkle about 3/4 cup of walnut mixture in each of 4 ungreased 9-inch round cake pans, pressing lightly into pans.
    Prepare cake mix according to package directions; pour batter over walnut mixture in prepared pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
    Remove layers from pans immediately and let cool completely.
