North Carolina Hot Dog Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. hamburger
    1 medium onion, chopped fine
    1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
    4 oz. water
    2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute hamburger and onion; drain.
    Place back in deep skillet or heavy 2-quart pot.
    Add tomato sauce, water, chili powder, vinegar, salt and pepper.
    Cook on low heat for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Add small amounts of water to prevent sticking.
    Cook until most of liquid has evaporated.
    Serve on hot dogs and rolls with slaw, mustard and onion.
