Easy Way Sauerbraten - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lbs. boneless chuck, about 2 inches thick
1/2 C. wine vinegar
1 bay leaf, crumbled
1 clove garlic, crushed
Generous dash pepper
1 envelope onion soup mix
2 gingersnaps, crushed
Preparation

Line a baking pan with heavy-duty foil and place meat in the center. Pour vinegar over the meat and sprinkle bay leaf, garlic and pepper over meat. Bring foil up over meat and let marinate at room temperature for one-half hour, or in the refrigerator for two or three hours.
