Wilted Lettuce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. bacon
1 bunch leaf lettuce or spinach
1/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 Tbsp. water
1 to 2 carrots
2 hard-boiled eggs
Preparation

Fry bacon; save grease.
Add to grease the sugar, vinegar and water.
Heat until hot.
Chop carrots and eggs; toss with lettuce. Pour hot sauce over lettuce and mix well.
Crumble bacon over salad and serve.
