Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    vinegar
    coarse salt
    1 tsp. powdered alum
    dill
    cucumbers
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and put in jars with dill.
    Mix 1 quart of vinegar, 3 quarts of water, 1 cup coarse salt and 1 teaspoon powdered alum.
    When mixture boils, pour over pickles while hot and seal.
    Put layer of pickles and then dill.
