Banana Cream Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. ripe, mashed bananas
1/4 c. buttermilk
2 unbeaten eggs
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Combine first 8 ingredients together and stir for 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and beat 1 minute.
Pour in two 8 or 9-inch cake pans and bake for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
