Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. shortening or margarine
2 eggs
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. oatmeal
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flaked coconut
3/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream margarine with sugars; add eggs and beat until smooth. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Add to batter and blend well.
Add oatmeal and vanilla; blend well.
Add coconut and pecans.
Drop onto greased cookie sheet by teaspoonfuls.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes until brown.
