Vanilla Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. milk, scalded
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. vanilla or rum flavoring
Preparation

Scald milk with sugar and salt.
In bowl, mix cornstarch with cold water.
Add to scalded milk until slightly thickened.
Add flavoring.
Serve on plain white cake, plum or carrot pudding.
