Rice Pilaf(Yields 6 Servings) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown rice
    2 2/3 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 orange slices
    1/4 c. vermicelli, broken
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. minced ginger
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Saute onion, noodles and rice in butter until lightly toasted. Add water, garlic, cinnamon and orange slices.
    Bring to a full boil.
    Reduce heat to simmer and cook, covered, for 40 to 45 minutes.
    (Do not lift lid during cooking.)
