Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. mayonnaise
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. cracker crumbs, divided
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 lb. yellow squash, cleaned, boiled and mashed
    1/4 c. (1 oz.) grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Combine mayonnaise, onion, 1/4 cup cracker crumbs, egg, sugar, salt and pepper.
    Add squash; mix well.
    Pour into lightly greased 1-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle remaining cracker crumbs over squash mixture.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Sprinkle cheese on top.
    Bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
