Sweet Potato Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
1 1/2 c. Crisco, unmelted
3/4 c. water
1 tsp. baking powder
dash of salt
3 c. flour (enough to make a dough like you would any other biscuit)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 475\u00b0.
Sift flour in a tray or long dish. Make a hole in the middle of the flour with your hands.
Put the potatoes in the hole.
Add Crisco, baking powder, water and salt. Mix by hand like you would other biscuits.
Pinch off dough in biscuit size pieces.
Roll in floured hand until smooth.
Place in greased biscuit pan and bake in oven at 475\u00b0 until done. Serve warm with butter.
Makes about 24.
