3 lb. (three 1 lb. cans) beets
1 stick or 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. sugar
3 cloves
1 pt. vinegar
Preparation

Bring beets to a boil.
Tie spices in cheesecloth; add vinegar, sugar and boil 5 minutes.
