Butterscotch Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 egg yolks
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, salt and egg yolks together and mix thoroughly.
    Gradually stir in evaporated milk and water. Add butter.
    Cook and stir over low heat until thickened.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Pour into baked 9-inch pie shell and top with meringue from the egg whites.
