Flat Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 qt. buttermilk
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. whole wheat flour
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening together.
    Add buttermilk gradually; mix in salt and whole wheat flour.
    Sift remaining dry ingredients together, add all at one time.
    Mix well.
    Roll out on a pastry cloth until almost paper thin.
    Place on a cookie sheet.
    Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 12 minutes or until brown and crisp.
