Quick Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

1 can pitted cherries
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 stick butter
Preparation

Put 1 cup sugar in cherries and let set.
Melt 1 stick butter in a 13 x 9-inch pan in oven.
Mix together flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and milk.
Pour batter over melted butter in pan. Spoon cherries over top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
