Holiday Orange Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges
    1 pt. orange sherbet
    2 pkg. orange jello (orange fruit salad)
Preparation
    Drain oranges, reserving syrup; add enough water to syrup to make 2 cups liquid.
    Place liquid in saucepan; bring to boil. Remove from heat; stir in gelatin.
    Add sherbet, stirring until dissolved.
    Chill until thick.
    Stir in oranges.
    Pour into a 2 quart ring mold; chill until firm.
    Wrap in moisture proof paper; freeze.
    Unwrap and thaw in refrigerator.
