Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. bananas, mashed
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    2 c. sifted plain flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. or 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat eggs until light and add. Add lemon juice to mashed bananas.
    Blend with creamed mixture. Sift dry ingredients together and mix into creamed mixture.
    Add nuts.
    Bake in loaf pan at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour.
    Test for doneness.
