Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. margarine or butter, softened
    3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg yolk (reserve white)
    2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation
    Combine sugar, margarine, cream cheese, salt, almond extract, vanilla and egg yolk; blend well.
    Stir in flour until well blended.
    Refrigerate dough at least 2 hours or overnight.
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Roll out on floured surface,
    using 1/3 of dough at a time, to 1/8 inch thick.
    Cut with floured cookie cutter.
    Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake for 7 to 10 minutes. Leave cookies plain or brush with egg white (slightly beaten) and sprinkle with colored sugar before cooking.
    Makes 5 to 6 dozen, depending on how big and thick cookies are.
