Cranberry Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
juice and grated rind of 1 orange
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. fresh halved cranberries
Preparation

Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt together. Combine the orange juice, rind, shortening and enough water to make 3/4 cup juice.
Add the beaten egg.
Pour mixture into dry ingredients, mixing just enough to dampen well.
Fold in cranberries and nuts.
