Super Steak And Kidney Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. chuck steak, trimmed and cut into 2-inch cubes
    1 large onion, sliced
    6 large mushrooms, halved
    1 bay leaf
    2 lamb's kidneys, trimmed
    salt and pepper to taste
    flour
Preparation
    Place steak, onion and kidneys in pan and cover with water. Bring to boil and skim off liquid.
    Simmer about 1 hour, having added bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste.
    Drain, saving liquid. Place meat and onion mix into 9-inch pan.
    Cover with mushroom halves; thicken liquid with flour and add a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
    Place pie crust holder in center of dish.
    Cover with flaky pastry.
    Brush with egg whites, beaten, and bake in oven until pastry browns.
