Hot Asparagus Canapes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 thin slices white bread
    12 thin slices cooked ham
    12 small green asparagus spears, cooked or canned
    mayonnaise
Preparation
    Trim crusts from bread and cut slices of ham to fit bread.
    Dip each asparagus spear in mayonnaise.
    Fit it at one edge of bread and roll up as a jelly roll.
    Fasten with a toothpick.
    Place on broiler rack and toast.
    Serve hot.
