String Beans In Sour Cream And Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. string beans or 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green beans
    4 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. thinly sliced onions
    1 small green pepper, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
    3 medium tomatoes, peeled, seeded and coarsely chopped
    1 1/2 tsp. dry basil
    1 egg, hard-boiled and chopped
    1 c. sour cream
    1 tsp. salt
    black pepper
Preparation
    Cook the green beans in lightly salted boiling water.
    Don't overcook.
    Drain and set aside.
    Melt butter in a large skillet and add onions and green pepper.
    Stirring occasionally, cook 5 to 8 minutes until tender but not brown.
    Stir in tomatoes and basil. Boil rapidly 1 to 2 minutes until most of the juice has evaporated. Stir in the green beans.
    Mix salt, sour cream, chopped egg and a few grindings of pepper.
    Stir into hot vegetables and serve.
