Finnish Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. scalded milk
7 to 8 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
2 to 3 eggs, beaten
1 cake yeast, softened in 1/4 c. warm water
3/4 to 1 c. sugar
1/2 c. soft butter
7 or 8 cardamom seed, crushed
Preparation

Mix together the milk, yeast and about 1/3 of the flour.
Beat well and let stand 1 hour.
Stir in the sugar, salt, butter, eggs and cardamom seed; beat well. Add the rest of the flour and knead the dough thoroughly.
Let rise until double in size.
Shape in loaves or rolls and let rise again.
Bake at 375\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
