Pecan Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    4 c. pecans (halves or pieces)
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar, salt, soda and buttermilk to soft ball stage.
    Add nuts, butter and vanilla.
    Remove from heat and stir until candy gets creamier and starts to harden.
    Drop from teaspoon on waxed paper.
    (Be prepared to work fast!) Place waxed paper on newspaper and pralines will come up easily.
