Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs or 3 egg yolks, unbeaten
    2 or 3 sq. chocolate
    1 c. sour milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour once; measure and add soda and salt.
    Sift together 3 times.
    Cream Crisco thoroughly.
    Add sugar gradually and cream until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Melt chocolate and blend into egg mixture. Add flour alternately with milk, a small amount at a time, beating after each addition until smooth.
    Add vanilla.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes in two 9-inch cake pans at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0.
    Cool and frost with White Icing.
