Soft Sugar Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Cream eggs, Crisco and sugar.
Stir in buttermilk.
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and cream of tartar. Add dry ingredients to rest of mixture.
Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet.
Sprinkle sugar on top.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes about 5 dozen.
