Grandma Kirby'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 4 c. raw peanuts
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. white syrup
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup and water to soft ball stage (294\u00b0) on candy thermometer.
    Add peanuts; cook to amber color.
    Add soda; stir. Add vanilla and butter.
    Pour onto greased marble slab.
    Cool and break.
    Store in airtight container.
