Standard Butter Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs, separated
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar and well beaten egg yolks.
    Add milk and flour.
    Add beaten egg whites, then vanilla.
    Pour into greased and floured cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Top with your favorite frosting.
