Chinese Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Sugar
    3/4 c. Sifted Flour
    1 tsp. Baking Powder
    1/4 tsp. Salt
    1 c. Pitted Dates (chopped)
    1 c. Nuts (chopped)
    2 Eggs (beaten)
Preparation
    Sift sugar, flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
    Stir in dates and nuts.
    Add eggs, mix thoroughly.
    Spread in greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch pan.
    Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes.
    Cut into squares while warm.
    Roll in confectioners sugar.
    Yield:
    6 dozen.
