Pierogi Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked
    1 lb. American cheese (may use 1/2 American and 1/2 Cooper sharp)
    5 to 6 medium potatoes, cooked and mashed
    1/2 lb. margarine
    1/2 lb. butter
    onions to taste
Preparation
    Saute onions with butter and margarine.
    Put 1/2 into bottom of dish.
    Layer macaroni, cheese and potatoes (2 layers).
    Top with rest of onion mix.
    Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
