Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. roast beef
    salt
    pepper
    6 to 8 small potatoes
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. buttermilk
    flour
    1 small onion
    3 or 4 carrots, peeled
    2 qt. water
Preparation
    Chop beef.
    Boil in water.
    Add salt and pepper.
    After beef is partially cooked, add vegetables and cook 15 minutes.
    Add batter made of rest of ingredients.
    Drop into stew.
    Cover and cook 20 to 30 minutes.
