Sausage Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 or 8 slices bread
    butter or margarine
    1 lb. bulk pork or sausage
    1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    6 eggs, beaten
    2 c. half and half
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Remove crusts from bread; spread bread slices with butter. Place in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish; set aside.
    Cook sausage until browned, stirring to crumble; drain well.
    Spoon sausage over bread slices; sprinkle with cheese.
    Combine beaten eggs, milk, salt and pepper; mix well and pour over bread and cheese.
    Cover casserole; refrigerate overnight.
