Apple Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. sour milk
    2 c. unpeeled apples, cored and diced
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
    Stir nuts into flour mixture.
    Set aside.
    Cream together shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, vanilla and sour milk.
    Combine well and stir in apples.
    Stir in dry ingredients.
    Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake 50 to 60 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean.
