Fish Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. bacon
    3 medium onions, diced
    5 medium potatoes, diced
    4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 lb. fresh or thawed frozen haddock, cod or pollack fillets, cut into smaller pieces
    1 qt. milk, scalded
    1 c. evaporated milk (undiluted)
    3 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    Cut bacon into 1/2-inch pieces.
    Cook in large kettle until crispy brown.
    Turn often.
    Remove bits of bacon and reserve.
