Chocolate Chip Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. applesauce
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 Tbsp. cocoa
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. chocolate chips

Preparation

Mix oil and sugar; beat in eggs.
Stir in flour, cinnamon, salt, applesauce, baking soda and cocoa.
Pour mixture into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips.
Sprinkle on top with 2 tablespoons sugar, nuts and remaining chocolate chips.
Serve with whipped topping or ice cream if desired.
