Mary Raper'S Blondies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. chopped, dried apricots
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugar.
    Add remaining ingredients in order given; mix well after each addition.
    Spread in a shallow, greased pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes.
    Do not overbake. Take out while soft and chewy.
