Smothered Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1 lb. shredded cabbage (generally, less that a small head, about 2 1/2 cups)
    salt & pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter and saute onion until golden; about 8 minutes.
    Add shredded cabbage and toss to mix it with the onion and coat it lightly with butter. Cover the pot, reduce heat to low and let steam 8 to 10 minutes; until just tender.
