Beary Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    2 rounded tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    1 (16 oz.) can cherry or peach pie filling
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Place stick of margarine in a 2 1/2-quart baking dish and melt in oven while preheating. Meanwhile, combine dry ingredients.
    Stir in 3/4 cup milk (batter will be thin).
    Pour batter into center of melted margarine.
    Pour pie filling into center of batter.
    Bake about 50 minutes or until top is golden brown.
    Serve warm or cold with whipped cream.
