Banana Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 1/3 c. white sugar
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    5 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 tsp. flour
    2 c. mashed bananas
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. raisins
    2 c. candied fruit and peels
Preparation
    Beat shortening and gradually add sugar.
    Beat until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs.
    Beat until thick and lemon colored.
    Combine dry ingredients and add alternately with bananas.
    Blend in fruit, raisins and nuts.
    Pour into a 9-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 70 minutes.
    Cool and spread with glaze.
