Spicy Peaches In Syrup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (29 oz.) cans peach halves in heavy syrup, drained, reserve syrup
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    6 cinnamon sticks
    1/4 tsp. allspice
Preparation
    Place peach halves in two 1 quart jars.
    In medium saucepan, combine reserved peach syrup, vinegar, cinnamon and allspice. Bring to a boil. Pour syrup over peaches in jar.
    Cool.
    Cover. Refrigerate at least 8 hours to blend flavors.
    Serve as an accompaniment for ham or pork.
    Yields 16 servings.
