Hawaiian Style Veggie Mix - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (13 to 16 oz.) can pineapple chunks
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. Minute rice
    1 can (1 c.) carrots
    2 Tbsp. chopped chives (optional)
Preparation
    Drain pineapple; measure syrup and add water to make 1 1/2 cups.
    Combine liquid, butter, pineapple, soy sauce, ginger and salt in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Stir in rice, carrots and chives.
    Cover.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
