Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 box light brown sugar
    3 eggs
    1 large pkg. chocolate chips
    1/2 to 1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Melt shortening and mix with sugar, add eggs one at a time. Add flour, nuts and chocolate chips.
    Batter will be sticky! Spread in a greased 9 x 12-inch pan.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Let cool before cutting.
    (These don't cut too neatly!)
