Queen Anne Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    1/4 lb. sugar
    1/4 lb. flour
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.
    Add eggs, one at a time, then flour and baking powder.
    Have cookie sheets greased and floured lightly.
    Spread the mixture very thin with spatula. Sprinkle with chopped nuts (pecans, peanuts or almonds), then with sugar.
    Bake in a moderate oven at about 400\u00b0 until a delicate brown.
    Cut into squares; remove from baking sheet immediately. Makes about 80 (2-inch) cookies.
    Store in airtight tins.
