Cherry Sauce For Ham - cooking recipe

1 (17 oz.) can sweet pitted dark cherries
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. Port wine
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. allspice
Preparation

Drain cherries.
Combine juice, wine and cornstarch.
Add lemon juice, salt and allspice.
Cook and stir until clear and slightly thickened.
Add butter and cherries.
Serve warm with baked ham.
