Red Cabbage With Apples(160 Calories) - cooking recipe

1/2 head red cabbage, thinly sliced
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 unpeeled tart apple, cored and diced
1 c. dry red wine
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
freshly ground black pepper
Preparation

In a large skillet over medium-heat in hot oil, toss sliced cabbage until well coated and slightly wilted.
Add apple, wine, sugar, salt and pepper.
Over high heat, heat to boiling.
Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes, tossing occasionally until tender-crisp.
Yields 4 servings.
